Pretty but thin

This wig is very pretty and gets loads of compliments when I wear it out. It's only getting 3 stars though for 2 issues I've had with it so far.
1) The hair is so thin. Maybe I'm used to overly thick wigs but the hair on this one is so very thin that I'm worried about how much will be left when I brush tangles out.
2) The seam holding the sizing elastics along the bottom together came out within a week. I've had to tie the elastics in a knot to be able to resize this wig. I've had this happen before but usually only on a wig I've worn for quite a while first. This wig started falling apart 1 week in. Very disappointing because I absolutely love the colors and the slight curl on this piece.
